Misfits is a collection of symbolic portraits celebrating the beautifully imperfect—the overlooked, misunderstood, wounded, resilient, and wonderfully different. Each piece explores the quiet tension between brokenness and beauty, giving voice to emotions that are often silenced, dismissed, or misunderstood. Through expressive faces, layered symbolism, and richly dimensional textures, Misfits invites viewers to embrace every part of their humanity with compassion rather than shame, reminding us that what sets us apart often becomes our greatest strength.

Each work begins as an original ink and paint-pen drawing. Through a layered mixed-media process, I develop each piece by refining composition, color, atmosphere, light, and sculptural texture until its emotional narrative fully emerges. The finished work remains rooted in the original drawing while evolving into a richly dimensional contemporary portrait.
