Misfits© - Portraits of the overlooked and resilient.

The Misfits© Collection begin with my original drawings: imperfect, expressive characters that have lived in my sketchbooks and imagination for years.

From there, I use a mixed-media process that combines my original illustration with digital tools and AI-assisted development to explore color, dimension, lighting, and environment. The technology helps me expand the world around the characters, but their faces, personalities, quirks, and stories begin with me.

These characters express parts of me that I’m often too quiet to share. They can be awkward, funny, lonely, hopeful, insecure, defiant, and a little strange. They don’t quite fit the mold, and they aren’t particularly interested in trying.

The Misfits© are about finding humor and beauty in imperfection and recognizing that the things that make us different are often the things that make us worth remembering.
